The  annual Arkansas Tax Lien Auction has been postponed indefinitely, but you can still take advantage of this awesome tool to find those rare good Deals.

Find out how you can buy properties that the state has claimed for back taxes - with no liens attached! This is a great way to increase your portfolio, but there are a few "Buyer Beware" warnings you need to understand. You'll learn:

  • How Property Becomes Eligible for Sale
  • The Buying Process
  • How to do your due diligence
  • The Redemption Process
  • How to perfect the title you receive

Now that you know how the process works, what happens after you buy? You'll learn how to protect yourself and your asset after you get that Great Deal! There’s more to it than you think. We’ll explain:

  • The special deed you’ll receive
  • Confirming the sale and quieting title
  • Potential problems and how to fix them
  • What happens if you don’t fix them

Lisa Pelton is Director of Real Estate for the AR Commissioner of State Lands. When they have auctions, Lisa supervises the process in each county. In the meantime, she is the person answering all questions about Arkansas real estate.

Greg Brown is our go-to attorney for all things real estate. A partner at Harrington Miller, he handles traditional and creative real estate transactions, title disputes, construction and insurance claims - and loves litigation.

We love to hear from new people as well as our members.

Let us know what's on your mind or what you'd like to see at REI NWA.
