If there is one thing that scares an investor, it's Foundation problems. Maybe you notice the front stoop leans into the house or there is a crack in one of the interior walls. Could be normal settling - or it could be a costly nightmare.

We've found a terrific contractor who has been around for a while in NWA. From Bella Vista to Fort Smith, we have a wide variety of rocks, soil, hills and hollers. Marcos will help us understand how it all affects our structures: new ~ old ~ everything in between. He'll discuss:

  •        How structures settle - normally
  •        Moisture issues
  •        Can you fix that?
  •        Stabilizing the house
  •        Building right for the location

Marcos Gutierrez has a long career in the construction industry.  Marcos’ background includes several years of experience in project development and construction management. He is a Certified Foundation Repair Specialist® through the Foundation Supportworks® international training program.

Do Investors need a General Contractor's license? That's a great question you may have asked yourself from time to time. Hear from a REI investor who started out with one HUD property and is now ready to take the leap. Whether a Rookie or seasoned pro, we'll bring you up to date with current regs, investor mindset and relevant considerations. Konrad will discuss:

  • Potential benefits
  • What the State says
  • When you might need it
  • What to know whether you have it or not
  • Changing mindset from Investor to GC

Konrad Siemek is an investor who's developed a successful single/multifamily/commercial rental portfolio. Through personal investing and partnerships, he’s managed to turn his full-time practice as a physical therapist into a part-time personal choice. Konrad now invests full-time creating unique and community centered projects. His next goal: small scale development.

We love to hear from new people as well as our members.

Let us know what's on your mind or what you'd like to see at REI NWA.
